HOW MUCH CAN I EXPECT TO PAY FOR YOUR POOL SERVICE?

We have 4 different, affordable pool cleaning service plans. You can read about them on our services page. They range from $105 to $150 for our premium weekly service. These are our rates for small to medium sized swimming pools with minimal debris. Big pools with more lush landscaping will cost a little more with time and chemical demand as our biggest factors.

Spa cleaning service starts at $per month with time and chemical demand as the biggest factors.

Here are the extra services and charges necessary in addition to monthly service rates.

These pool cleaning service plans include regular additions of chlorine and muriatic acid to maintain ideal pool water chemistry. We have an extra chemical fee due around April every year for conditioner, algae preventative, phosphate remover, and clarifier. These products are added regularly to maintain crystal clear, algae free pool water. This annual, extra chemical fee is around $150 at this time. You will notice a certain sparkle above other pools with our high quality products!

We also tear down and clean pool filters once or twice annually depending on need. This annual filter clean is $140 with parts being extra. Every year or two the filter tank o ring needs replacing and ranges from $30 to $50

WHAT LICENSING AND CERTIFICATION SHOULD I LOOK FOR WHEN I HIRE A POOL CLEANING SERVICE?

If you expect your swimming pool cleaning service to repair your pool equipment, you better make sure they have a California State Contractor’s license. Legally, every home repair valued over $500 needs to be performed by a California State Contractor and you should check their CSLB license# to confirm it is active and they are safe. This $500 value includes all equipment, parts, and materials involved in the job regardless if the contractor purchases them or the homeowner purchases them. It is illegal for an unlicensed business to perform a repair or install of equipment or parts valued over $500 even if the homeowner directly purchases the equipment. The law is such that if the VALUE of the WHOLE JOB is over $500 including labor, parts, materials, etc., the business needs to be California State Licensed regardless who buys the parts and/or equipment.

While certifications are not required by law, I recommend hiring a pool service with water chemistry certification. IPSSA is an association of pool service providers that meet once a month for group insurance benefits and sharing of industry knowledge. Most to all members of IPSSA have passed a water chemistry test and are IPSSA water chemistry certified. Hiring a member of IPSSA is always a benefit to the consumer as they carry excellent liability insurance and are water chemistry certified.

WHAT MAKES YOUR POOL CLEANING SERVICE BETTER?

At Pool Heaven, we switch from chlorine tabs to liquid chlorine around November every year if possible. You can read our Perfect Water Chemistry Article to learn how this helps your pool water last longer before needing to be recycled.

In addition to focusing on perfect water chemistry, we use a special product that fights algae and enhances chlorine sanitizer to avoid over chlorination. Your pool will have a sparkle above the rest and that is, because your pool water is more pure and clear. This pure, clear pool water eliminates much of the strain put on pool filters to help elongate the life of your pool equipment as well.
